Seattle is a beautiful and vibrant city with a rich culture and only a short 17 minute drive from Skyway, WA. There are plenty of activities to do from sipping on your favorite beer at a small brewery to cheering on the Seahawks as the 13th man at CenturyLink field.
Spring is upon us, which means we’re shedding our winter coats and have the opportunity to experience the great festivals that the pacific northwest has to offer. The following events are some we think you would particularly enjoy after taking some time to relax with Mary Jane. These 7 fun places to go to when you’re high will make for some memorable experiences.
Vegfest (April 7-8)
Whether you’re a seasoned vegetarian, a beginner, or just curios, Vegfest has something for you. Tickets are only $9.00 and this gives you access to a slew vegetarian dishes crafted by cooks from around the country. Not only will you get to taste the food, but you’ll get to learn how to make it.
The Seattle Pancakes & Booze Art Show (April 28)
You read the heading to this, right? Pancakes. Booze. Art. The combination of these three treasures is deadly. You can expect art from 50-150 local artisans and music by local DJ’s and musicians. Live body painting is a staple of this event, so even you can become art. We don’t recommend combining booze with cannabis, so take in the delicious pancakes to satisfy your munchies and get your art on.
Bacon and Beer Classic (April 28)
We included a vegetarian festival so we have to throw a bone to the meat lovers out there. The Bacon and Beer Classic takes place at Safeco field and combines two of America’s most beloved pastimes… bacon and beer. Over 100 regional beers and 30+ bacon infused dishes from local chefs will tantalize your palate.
Seattle International Film Festival (May 17- June 10)
Currently in it’s 44th year, The Seattle International Film Festival has over 150,000 attendees and offers a classic stoner go to for entertainment- cinema. You have a chance to catch a glimpse of the best up and coming works by hundreds of directors from 80 different countries.
Sasquatch Music Festival (May 25-27)
The Sasquatch Music Festival features a variety of artists covering multiple different genres.Boasting big time names like Bon Iver, Modest Mouse, Shakey Graves, and Tyler the Creator, it attracts fans from far and wide.
The enjoyment at musical festivals can be amplified if you’re high. Smoking before (or while) seeing musicians as talented as those performing at this festival would be an absolute treat.
Upstream Music Fest and Summit (June 1- June 3)
Upstream differs slightly from Sasquatch Music festival because it combines a few well known acts with a multitude of rising talent from the North West. Add on top of that a few keynote speakers and you have yourself a miniature SXSW. This recap video from 2017 is exciting.
