It’s that time of the year again! Halloween! Hopefully, you’ve already got your costume. If not, the good news is you still have time. In the meantime, have you made plans? We have a few ideas. We’ve put together a list of five family-friendly Halloween events to help you celebrate in Salem, Oregon.
Young at Art

There’s something about Halloween that brings out our creative side. What a time to explore your artistic capabilities! Try it out and join Young at Art this Tuesday for a special VooDoo Halloween event. Costumes are strongly encouraged (because why not?).
The party continues on Wednesday. Young at Art is hosting a Halloween baby crawl at their studio (at 1255 Broadway NE).

Enjoy some screaming good fun this Halloween with a free Trick N’ Treat Celebration on Wednesday from 3-6 pm. This event is for the kiddos up to age 12. They’ll be running costume contests every 30 minutes along with plenty of fun and games and, of course, trick-or-treating at local businesses.

Ok, Star Wars fans. Whether you plan to dress up in your Star Wars costume or not, be sure to check out this open house and Halloween event. It’s totally free and open to all ages. Enjoy trick-or-treating, prizes, food, and drink. For aspiring apprentices and padawans, there’s even a Jedi Training Academy. Costumes encouraged, but not required.
Left Coast Estate

For you vino fans, Left Coast Estate is hosting a special Halloween event. If you come in costume, you’ll get a free wine tasting. For the youngsters, candies will be on hand.
But, that’s not all! Join Taylor for a historic walking tour of the abandoned farm their new property. Costumes encouraged, but not required.

If you’re looking for some Halloween that’s both sporty and spooky, you’ll want to drop by the Halloween Carnival at Bob Keefer Center. Enjoy some sports, get some exercise, play spooky carnival games, and make some creepy crafts. Oh, let’s not forget the Haunted House. Costumes are strongly encouraged.
