“You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension — a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind …” Sound familiar?
Although it goes way back, the vast majority of us have some connection to the psychologically disturbing Twilight Zone episodes, hosted by Rod Serling. Whether you’re a cult follower, an obsessed TV fanatic, or an old geezer, there’s no way The Twilight Zone hasn’t impacted your world in some way with its dark twists and turns, nurtured from the remnant paranoia of the Cold War.
And the rest of the world thinks so, too. Or, at least, Seattle does. Specifically, Theater Schmeater, because they’re putting on another performance of the all-time favorite, playing from Friday, November 18th through Saturday, December 17th so there’s still plenty of time to catch a show. You can get more info on The Twilight Zone: Live! Here.
But before we go any further it’s worth mentioning, we strongly recommend stopping off at Have a Heart Belltown, Seattle’s finest marijuana shop, for some pre-theater refreshments. If you have the time, we keep a full stock of all the most in-demand strains for parties, study, focus, creativity, couch lock, and on. If you crave a mood, we stock the strain. Imbibing is more fun than ever with so many delicious ways to do it: vapes, pre-rolls, and good old-fashioned blunts and bowls. Of course there’s a whole smorgasbord of edibles like truffles and hard candies, just waiting to be unleashed.
The Theater Schmeater live production of The Twilight Zone will showcase three popular episodes, “The Shelter,” “The Monster of Maple Street,” and “The Night of the Meek.” Rather than Google the plots, why not get out your Dad’s old Rod Serling books, the ultimate tribute to the time, in the form of a hardcover time capsule? Or not. Just don’t miss the incredible live performances of the Theater Shcmeater actors, who’ll breathe fresh air into these killer classics. Toke up first like we told you at Have a Heart Belltown, and … you’re welcome.
Check out the Have a Heart Belltown Menu so you know what is in stock when you get there. Theater Schmeater is located at 2125 3rd Ave. in Seattle.
