A Hands-On, Organic Grow Ensures Top Quality
Master grower Chad Koeppe is maniacally obsessed with the art, craft, and science of cannabis production. He started in 2009 by growing medical cannabis. During this time, Chad also worked in garden store where he could consult with many other growers about a wide variety of methods used to grow cannabis. The grow process that he’s settled into at Noble Farms is a result from his years of learning and studying.
Every grow cycle starts in the mother room. Each week cut Noble Farms cuts 60-100 clones from their mother plants, depending on strain demand. For pest control, they use ladybugs and nematodes in the mother room only. This ensures that the coco base used in the vege and flower rooms remains clean and free from any outside contaminates. The clones are placed into coco and nurtured in same environment as their moms in order to prevent shocking the young plants. Each clone is then let to grow for 14 days, enough time for them to create a thriving root mass.
After 14 days, the plants are transferred to 1 gallon pots and moved to the vege room. Noble Farms works to cultivate a nice, even canopy to maximize cola development during flowering time. Over the next 14 days, Noble Farms carefully hand tends and hand stakes every single plant. Once the plants have outgrown their 1 gallon pots, they are moved to 5 gallon pots and the lights are pumped up lights to 1000 watts.
Once a solid canopy has developed, each plant is moved into the flowering room. Noble Farms then waits 7 days for the plants to become acclimated to the flowering room environment before trimming up excess leaves that have developed underneath the canopy. They are big believers in supercropping and low stress training methods, where no wounds are opened up and there is no opportunity for bacteria to take advantage of.
Throughout this whole process, Noble Farms Hand waters each plant every other day. The immense amount of time and attention that this affords each plant makes sure that nothing is over or under watered. The result is incredible smelling buds that hit hard and are completely pesticide free. For a more indepth loop, you can see a tour of their operation below:
