As recreational marijuana becomes socially acceptable, we are shattering the long-held stereotype of the lazy stoner glued to the couch, a can of Pringles, and public access TV.
As more of us become willing to admit that we enjoy the pleasures of recreational marijuana, the country is realizing that weed enthusiasts are a diverse and dynamic group, and that many of us are also athletes, professionals, and philanthropists. Here at your favorite Bothell marijuana shop, we like to enforce this point by participating in activities that are active, socially conscious and more fun if you’re high. The latest event on our radar is The Ugly Sweater Run, an upcoming 5k in Redmond’s Marymoor Park. The run benefits One Warm Coat and will provide, for your stoned entertainment, a free Kahlua cocktail, and the spectacle of hundreds of people huffing and puffing in horrible holiday sweaters.
A ticket gets you a custom knit hat, the aforementioned Kahlua cocktail, the opportunity to take holiday photographs in a giant snow globe and various other trippy sets, and, of course, motivation to exercise. Participants take part in contests, including Best Ugly Sweater, Best Pet Attire, Most Original Sweater, Best Team Outfits, Most Inappropriate Sweater, Largest Group, Best Beard, Best Fake Beard and Best Mustache (real or fake). The run takes place at 11 AM on December 3rd, at 6046 West Lake Sammamish Parkway Northeast in Redmond.
So buy a ticket, grab your ugliest holiday sweater, and stop by Have a Heart Bothell for recreational marijuana recommendations from our friendly and knowledgeable bud tenders. Located in downtown Bothell, our welcoming weed shop currently carries a large selection of holiday-themed products, including Peppermint tincture (Origin Cannabis Company) and Sativa Gingerbread Cookies (Botanica Seattle). If you’re more interested in flower but still want to stay on theme, check out Peppermint Cookies from Gold Leaf or White Widow from Phat Panda.
