As marijuana becomes socially acceptable in all sectors of society, it’s high time we up our game and come out of the shadows. You’ve spent enough evenings smoking in front of the television. Instead, go exploring: catch some classic Fremont people watching, check out the pretty lights, and sate your munchies with fine dining.
Luckily, Dine Around Seattle is here to encourage you to try something new. For a fixed price of $22 or $33, you can sample drinks and multiple plates at participating Fremont and Queen Anne locations: Chiso, Pomeral, Lloyd Martin, Toulouse Petit, and Peso’s Kitchen and Lounge.
We recommend stopping by your local Fremont weed shop, choosing from our wide selection of flowers and edibles, and then heading over the hill to Peso’s for superb Mexican and Spanish food. Peso’s dinner option is two food items and one drink for a fixed price of $33. The drink menu consists of French and local wines or the restaurant’s famous house margarita, and food runs the gamut from Ahi tuna tartare to carne asada tradicional.
If you want to stick closer to home, Fremont’s Chiso is offering a fixed dinner option of $33, which gets you three plates. After stopping by your favorite provider of recreational marijuana, dig into Dungeness crab sunomono, Alaskan black code kasazuke flame-broiled, or a katsu dinner of panko pork cutlets, followed by three dessert options: gateau chocolat, flan with whipped cream, and tempura friend banana with coconut ice cream, drizzled in chocolate sauce and caramel.
You can count on these restaurants for perfect wine and food pairings, but you’ll need to rely on another set of professionals for your weed and food pairings.
At Have a Heart Fremont, we have a number of tried and true suggestions. To enhance your olfactory sense before dinner, we recommend a strain with a high THC content. Right now, we’re loving potent takes on the old classics: Blue Dream (26.7 % THC from Northwest Cannabis Solutions), Acapulco Gold (24.2% THC from Pioneer Nuggets), and Headband (20.2% THC from Celesteva).
If you want something newer and stronger, check out Butter Cookies from Green Dreamer (30.9% THC). If that doesn’t give you the munchies, we don’t know what will.
