In case you’ve been asleep the last year, CBD is the hottest thing in the world of cannabis. The second most abundant cannabinoid after THC, it delivers many of the cannabis plant’s benefits without the high. Most cannabis contains at least some CBD. And depending on how much THC is present, you can dial in the effects—and the psychoactivity—to your own tastes and needs.
Owing to its popularity, our trusted growers have been bringing in a bumper crop of high-CBD flower for us to sell. We’ll share a little of the science behind this fascinating cannabinoid, and then point you towards a few of our current favorites!
CBD Flower: Buds Without the High?
THC and CBD are the two most abundant cannabinoids in marijuana (at last count there are some 113 in total). One way to think of them is as the cannabis plant’s “active ingredients,” although the fragrant oils called terpenes play an important role as well.
The cannabinoids interact with receptor cells in our bodies to impart their effects. While THC is the only cannabinoid responsible for the “high” associated with cannabis, that’s not to say CBD isn’t completely psychoactive. Many people experience a mild cerebral “buzz” after consuming high-CBD flower or other forms of cannabis. It’s typically fairly gentle, and very different from the usual cannabis high imparted by THC.
For many of us, the idea of crumbling fresh, fragrant cannabis flower into a joint or pipe to smoke is synonymous with getting high. But one of the biggest trends in cannabis right now is towards cannabis that doesn’t actually get you stoned. Can these two seeming opposites exist at the same time? We say “Yes!” in a big way!
CBD Flower: Our Favorite Current Buds
While you can get CBD from concentrates, tinctures, edibles and any other format, many of us still prefer the tactile pleasure of interacting with fresh flower. With that in mind, we’ve made a special effort to partner with growers interested in producing the freshest, most flavorful high-CBD flower for us to offer. Here are some we’re especially excited about. As always, check our live menu before heading down so you’ll be sure we have what you need in stock!

In a world once dominated by high-THC blockbusters, this strain has quietly become one of America’s favorites for its strong CBD content and sativa-dominant uplift. Typically boasting a 5:2 CBD to THC ratio, it’s mild enough for daytime activities while imparting a gentle CBD-powered ride. This particular offering comes from Gabriel Cannabis, who grow in a sealed indoor facility with perfect humidity and zero pesticides.

With an incredible 24:1 CBD to THC ratio, this CBD powerhouse delivers everything you want from a CBD strain with extremely low psychoactivity. We love it as a mellow but flavorful daytime smoke.
